A start of a series that would create its own standard, the original GEL-Lyte set the visual blueprint for the series with its scope for colour blocking and reflective forefoot panels for extra visibility. Originally released in 1987, this iconic model returns thirty years later. The addition of ‘Lyte’ to the model’s moniker was due to the fact that it weighed less than a pound.

The ultra-light feel of the shoe was assisted by the solitary heel GEL unit, Nyla-sheen synthetic fabric, and DURASKIN reinforcement. An anti-torque stability system was applied with motion control in min, while the tri-density midsole and blown rubber outsole with a gum rubber heel plug complete this mid to high mileage creation. Weighing in at just 9.9 ounces, the GEL-Lyte was an efficient and intelligent creation that liberated the athlete.

The shoe is sat on a white midsole with a complete dark blue outsole featuring white, black, dark blue and orange synthetic leather branding to the sidewalls on a white backing and is finished with black and orange branding to the heel panel plus white flat laces.
